Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about shopping, shipping, and support.

Getting Started

1.What's the difference between Buy For Me and Receive For Me?

Buy For Me
Send us the product link through our request form and we'll purchase it for you using our Korean payment methods. Best if you can't pay on Korean websites or want a hassle-free experience.
Receive For Me
Shop yourself on Korean stores and ship to our warehouse address. You handle the purchase, we handle the international shipping. Best if you want full control or access to member-only deals.

2.What are the three Buy For Me tiers?

The Buy For Me fee is charged per product, and you pick a tier for each product in your request. You can mix tiers within one request.

Basic (₩2,000)
  • Simple online purchases
  • We buy from a Korean store and forward it to your KoreaHaul warehouse
  • Unboxing media included
Standard (₩5,000)
  • Purchases that need seller communication
  • We message the seller in Korean to confirm stock, request details, or arrange a custom order
  • Covers Bunjang, Daangn (Karrot), Joongonara, and any store where you can't check out without contacting the seller
  • Also applies if we found the listing for you
Premium (₩30,000)
  • In-person purchases and high-value items
  • We go to the seller or store for you, including secondhand meet-ups and pop-up stores
  • Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do only
  • Travel fees may apply, quoted and approved before purchase
  • Required for any item priced over ₩500,000
  • If a high-value item is submitted on a lower tier, we move it to Premium and ask for the fee difference before buying. If you don't pay it, we cancel the request.

Launch promotion: Basic and Standard service fees are ₩0 for requests submitted by 31 December 2026. Premium is not included.

3.Is there a limit on how many of one item I can order?

Sometimes, yes. We may limit the quantity on a Buy For Me request when:

  • The store, brand, or marketplace has its own per-customer limit
  • The item is a promotion or limited release with conditions
  • The quantity looks like bulk or resale buying rather than personal use
  • Buying that volume would put our standing with the seller at risk

Korean stores can block accounts that buy in bulk against their terms. Limits keep those stores open to everyone.

4.How do quantity limits work?

  • Limits can apply per item, per request, per customer, or per period, and differ from store to store.
  • We may apply a limit after you've submitted a request.
  • We may decline a request if the quantity clearly isn't for personal use.

5.What happens to my order if a quantity limit applies?

We buy up to the permitted quantity and follow the Quantity rule you set:

  • Partial Quantity Allowed: we buy what's allowed and refund the rest as Store Credit.
  • Exact Quantity or Cancel: we cancel the item and refund it as Store Credit.

The Buy For Me fee is non-refundable either way.

6.Can I place a bulk order?

Yes, but contact us at business@koreahaul.com before you submit the request.

  • Bulk orders are priced and handled under separate terms, so we can't quote them from the site.
  • We check with the seller whether the quantity can be supplied, then send you pricing and conditions for that order.
  • Bulk requests submitted without checking with us first may be limited, cancelled, or declined, and the Buy For Me fee still applies.
  • We're not obliged to accept a bulk order.

7.What can be different on a bulk order?

Any of these can differ from a standard request:

  • Buy For Me fee
  • Price of the goods
  • Deposit or payment schedule
  • Lead time
  • Cancellation terms
  • Storage and shipping

Whatever we confirm with you in writing before you submit applies to that order, and overrides our standard pricing for that order only.

8.Do I need an account to use KoreaHaul?

Yes, a free account is required. It gives you access to all our services: Buy For Me, Receive For Me, your personal Korean warehouse address, order tracking, shipment history, and Store Credit.

You must be 18 or older to register and use our services.

9.What items are prohibited or restricted?

We cannot ship items that violate Korean export laws or international shipping rules. Common prohibited categories include:

  • Lithium batteries and devices containing them (depending on carrier)
  • Aerosols, flammable liquids, and pressurized containers
  • Fresh food, meat, dairy, and most perishables
  • Alcohol and tobacco products
  • Knives, weapons, and replica firearms
  • Counterfeit or unauthorized brand merchandise
  • Hazardous chemicals and pharmaceuticals

Some items can be shipped by certain carriers only (for example, cosmetics by sea freight). If you're unsure about an item, contact us before purchasing. We reserve the right to refuse any item that cannot be shipped safely or legally.

See our Prohibited and Restricted Items page for the full list.

10.Can KoreaHaul cancel or refuse a request?

Yes. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or suspend any request involving prohibited items, fraud risk, payment disputes, abusive conduct, or situations that would violate Korean law, carrier rules, or our policies.
